Company of heroes 2 spearhead mod2/24/2024 Like if you don't retreat at like 3 models or more the squad gets wiped which I really dislike. Also didn't like how fast combat felt between infantry as it can happen and very long ranges and is over in a few volleys. Plus to my understanding there are some balance issues that make several doctrines useless in various game modes. Even then I didn't feel like each doctrine was that distinct and they all had a good amount of overlap. I found it to be very difficult to figure out what to be doing at the start. ![]() 6 doctrines that unlock tons of new units all with like 9+ abilites and several upgrades, no clear direction in what you should be doing. Spearhead imo has way to much going on right from the start. Plus each doctrine in the mod feels distinct enough that each of them is fun to play and most are viable. ![]() Obviously new stuff to learn like all lmgs are able to suppress or the new way armor is handled but it felt smooth to jump into overall. Due to how the tech trees are made you only start a game with a few new units and even then most of them are basic infantry/vehicles and the tech trees offer some guidance in what you can get. ![]() Felt the easiest to jump into if going from vanilla to a mod.
